|Rescue Me ID: 17-01-17-00486Maggie **BEYOND URGENT (female)|
****BEYOND URGENT***** Meet Maggie! She is an absolute dollface and sweeter than the sweetest glass of southern sweet tea! She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix, approximately 10 months old, and weighs about 50 pounds. Unfortunately her previous owners did not keep her on heartworm prevention so she does have heartworms, but she is a light positive so with the proper treatment, she will be just fine and live a long healthy life! She is a very docile dog with a pretty laid back personality, so she would be the perfect girl to snuggle up with on the couch this winter while watching movies and drinking a nice cup of hot coffee (or whatever it is you like to drink during the cold winter months). She does great with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind a few cats either! Maggie has been at the shelter since 11-4-16. We must find her an adoptive or foster home IMMEDIATELY! Maggie is tired of living her life in a crate and desperately wants a family of her own. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP MAGGIE!!!!!! **An application and home visit are required. Transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes. Please ask us for more information if you are not in Tennessee** **All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.** Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption. Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE! *****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED***** Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information. ***Please Note*** The breeds noted are guesses on the part of the volunteers of RARE based on the physical characteristics of the particular animal. Star is very gentle, good with kids and other dogs. He needs shots and neuter; he has not been to vet yet. He weighs 45 lbs and is 18' tall. The person who picked him up and is taking care of him wants to meet adopter so needs to be able to travel close to Memphis or Jackson, TN

|Rescue Me ID: 16-05-10-00042Mojo (male)|
Mojo is a very sweet dog once he gets to know you. He is jealous of children and this is the reason I am looking for a new home for him. He can be aggressive toward children and adults he does not know. Once he gets use to an adult he is fine. He loves attention and to cuddle. He was mostly an outside dog until I had to move in with my children. There is no where for him to stay outside. I love him very much, but I cannot have him being aggressive to children.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a fierce hunter that also makes a loyal family pet. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are very smart and obedient with firm training. Rhodesian Ridgebacks do not like to be teased by children. Ridgebacks need to be thoroughly socialized with other pets and humans, and may be dog aggressive. Ridgebacks can live in an apartment but these dogs are very energetic and need lots of daily exercise. This is an excellent dog to take jogging.
