Zeke is a medium-sized (36 lbs) 1-year-old hound mix who is very people oriented. He loves nothing more than to cuddle with his caretakers and also seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. He is a high energy boy and would do best with an active owner/family. He loves toys, treats, and running around. He is surprisingly quiet for his age and energy level and rarely barks. He is currently in training but will likely need an owner with patience willing to continue his training. He is also currently beng crate trained and is doing well. Rhodesian Ridgeback Dogs can make good pets in New York if they match your IifestyIe. The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a fierce hunter that also makes a loyal family pet. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are very smart and obedient with firm training. Rhodesian Ridgebacks do not like to be teased by children. Ridgebacks need to be thoroughly socialized with other pets and humans, and may be dog aggressive. Ridgebacks can live in an apartment but these dogs are very energetic and need lots of daily exercise. This is an excellent dog to take jogging.
